Lucy Achen lived amongst the rebels for 10 years. She was involved in fierce fighting between the Arabs of S. Sudan and the UPDF. It was in battle between the UPDF where she was captured and taken to a rehabilliation centre in N. Uganda. Her mother came to see her here and did not recognize her at first.
