Kenya: celebration of the goddess: navratri18

For these sacred nine nights during Navrartri, women and girls gather to dance the ‘ras garba’ and sing songs of praise to Abbaji their goddess. Men attend too, some dance but most sit and watch their wives, daughters and often love interests spin together around deities.
